HOMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS HOUSE TOUR

The Halls were Decked in high style glamour at the Georgian style home of Claudia Harris in New Canaan CT. for the Home For The Holidays benefit for the New Canaan Newcomers Club. Featured on the cover of Connecticut Cottages and Gardens this month, Harris' vision for the Holiday decor is a theme she calls "Deluxe Christmas". Working with Pimlico owner Melissa Lindsay, the1920s Gatsby-esque theme was brought to life by utilizing the homes rich historic architecture as a reference point to integrate a complimentary dose of colorful, fun decor dazzle. I love the over the top sophisticated style--after all, if you can't be a little dramatic at Christmas, well then, when?

The English Regency Chinoiserie dining room was designed with a vintage inspired enchanted forest theme that incorporates colorful Magnolia leaves, gleaming mercury Evergreen trees and glittering fur trimmed deers. Very luxe!

The classical Greek foyer utilized urns with moss and boxwood topiaries while the use of greenery  highlights the beautiful staircase and dramatic lighting.

Harris wanted the decor to reflect "the golden age of the kitschy, fun, colorful, festive decoration."

The French Salon Style living rooms pastel wall color palette complimented the snow white  Christmas tree trimmed with the families vintage ornaments.
