IRISH SPRING
The weather forecast for this Thursday is expected to be a balmy 60 degrees. If I could do a back flip and not seriously injure myself I would. Not that it's been a terribly difficult winter, it's just thats its been winter: cold, depressing, grey, winter. Frankly, I'm over it and anxious for a taste of spring. My impatience was exacerbated by the gorgeous Carolina Herrara windows on Madison Avenue. I've passed the chic shop several times recently and caught my breath each time. Floaty spring dresses in Herrera's flattering silhouettes grace the windows, all in beautiful shades of green. Tiny birds with emerald wings, delicate pistachio hues--so fresh, spring can't be far away!

Are you ready for a bit of green?
I love the first dress. I am looking forward to season of beauty and feminine clothing, yeah!

I love the Oscar de la Renta vertically striped dress. So much more slimming than sailor stripes! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm with you. Tired to death of my winter wardrobe and craving color. As I type, I'm watching snow (!) flakes drift past the swollen buds of our magnolia tree, which look like the may not be able to wait to pop! But 60 degrees is being mentioned for our Thursday forecast, so maybe I can finally ditch the black tights that day!
ReplyDeleteSaw your comment about Belize -- we loved both properties. The service was slightly better at Blancaneaux, but we loved relaxing on the beach at Turtle Inn. If you can, I would experience both - they're very different. And they make it easy by driving you between properties!
I know exactly how your feel. Long, grey winter....so excited that the sun is out and that we might even go jacketless on Thursday!
ReplyDeleteLove your Irish Green picks. I'd be thrilled to not get pinched wearing one of these shamrock beauties!!!

ReplyDeleteMust say that this post has given me a little spring fever! Love.

Here, in the South Hemisphere we are anxious for Winter while you're waiting your Spring/Summer to come.
We're tired of hot weather.
But with those dresses Summer could be easier.

ReplyDeleteOh how pretty, I would love to find a green dress for summer time, I tend to turn into a clothes layered blob in winter, it is time to come out of my silk pod.

ReplyDeleteThe Oscar de la Renta striped dress is gorgeous! I'm so ready for some sunshine and warmth. Our temps are supposed to hit mid fifties by Friday. We will see.. I woke up to snow again yesterday. This time of year is tough in the Pacific Northwest - lots of grey and I'm so ready to put away the boots.
