GIRL'S NIGHT OUT

Yesterday, I was thrilled to have a chance to preview Holiday House 2012, the first designer showhouse held in New York City to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Organization. Housed in a historical limestone townhouse on the Upper East Side, the preview, presented by Traditional Home had room after room of gorgeous design inspiration. My first stop was Girls Night Out, a petit space off the main entrance that was transformed into a glamorous ladies vanity room.  Designer Claudia Giselle took me through the stunning space pointing out the knockout vanity drawers which were cleverly lined with Maya Romanoff's gilded paper.  Soft seafoam walls paneled in a sophisticated damask set the tone for this seductive enclave, with glittery crystal lighting and a dark velvet bergere, perfect for applying your lipstick. Bring your ostrich topped slippers and a glass of champagne to this fabulous boudoir!
