TICK TOCK-GET YOURSELF A VINTAGE CLOCK

My go to source for custom kitchen light fixtures is Ann Morris Antiques in Manhattan.  Their shop is treasure trove, carrying an astounding array of antique light fixtures from the states and abroad. Once you find a shape or style you like they customize the piece and add the perfect finish--it's lighting couture! The shop fills two rambling floors, the perfect space to loose yourself for a few hours.  I recently spent an afternoon there with a client looking for kitchen lights when we came across two large vintage clocks from England, circa 1930's. We were drawn to their clean form and brilliant shine--they had recently received a fresh nickel plating and were fitted with batteries for easy use. We took the "Gents" clock home that day--it's the perfect piece of vintage for a freshly minted kitchen!

  1. Love, love, Barbara! There seem to be less and less clocks in homes now because of technology.

  14. You just reminded me that 2 of my wall clocks need batteries. They are just hanging there stopped at whatever time the battery ran out! xo
