STYLE TREND: ESPADRILLE'S


The chic little espadrille-a canvas and cotton slip-on, is a must-have this summer. For decades the casual summer shoe has been an essential in chic European resorts like St. Tropez and Costa Brava.  Its favor has come and gone here in the states but this summer it's back and better than ever.  I love the traditional flat style with their braided bottoms and bright colors-slip on some summer chic!

    I love espadrilles and buy a variation every summer, love the ones you showed especially the Michael Kors and eyelet versions...both great looking.....great post!! Summer is beckoning :)

    They are most definitely a classic. And I saw a cute one this year in the most unlikely of places - Sperry. It's an adorable wedge with seersucker fabric that ties around your ankle - adorable!!

    I bought my first pair of espadrilles after moving to the Hamptons. My favorites are the wedges. They're the perfect, casual summer shoe!

    My mom was quite the espadrille fan, not sure whose she wore back in the day but she had them in every color to coordinate with her golf shirts! Always think of those outfits as the warm weather arrives and golf season gets underway, thanks for the memory and the fashion tip.
