If you are doing a more festive upbeat type party, with a tropical edge, as Lisa suggested tiki torches can be fun but all depends on the mood you are going for. If you have a pool, I like to put a bunch of floating candles in the pool also...a lovely touch. The citronella fen...I have a love for tiki torches. The citronella fends off mosquitos who could run an outdoor gathering and the flames look festive and nice agains t a dark sky. We light ours every night when on the back deck dining. Citronella tea lights are also great for the tables.
