SUPER SATURDAY

It's been called the "Rolls-Royce" of all garage sales-with racks of designer duds from the likes of Donna Karan, Alice + Olivia, Ralph Lauren, Catherine Malandrino and Tory Burch, the 13th Annual Super Saturday was Super Fabulous yesterday on a sunny field in Water Mill.  It was all for a fantastic cause: to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Fund which was founded by Donna Karan and the late Liz Tilberis and dedicated to advancing research and finding a cure for ovarian cancer. Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan have been long time hosts of the event and Twilight Star Ashley Greene joined the lineup this year. Organized chaos is the best way to describe the scene-with an expected 2,000 visitors for the all day event, shoppers queued early eager for some serious bargain hunting among the 200 designers featured.  It was my first time attending the event and I was in awe (lots of celeb sightings!)-so much to see, so much to shop!  For design fans out there, I saw beautiful pillows and home items from Madeline Weinrib, Kravet and Scandia Home for a song. What a fun afternoon!  A Vera Wang top and Tory Burch bag later, I was delighted with my purchases and so happy to support a fantastic charity!

What a superb reason to go shopping! I love it when everyone comes together to support a common cause and combining one of my favorite pastimes with it just completes the picture for me.
Thank you for the lovely photos and insight into a well organized event.
Have a lovely evening, cheers!

I hope you had a chance to stop by Hamptons Cottages & Gardens' booth - we donated some flowers for the great cause. Sadly, we couldn't be out there for the fabulous shopping :(
