THE FABULOUS MR. BROWN

Wednesday was the last day of the New York International Gift Fair and by mid-afternoon I was quickly running out of steam. Glassy eyed and bone tired I would have gladly settled for a wooden crate and a quick nap but then I saw Mr. Brown and instantly perked up. Handsome, smart, stylish- I was smitten and couldn't wait to spend some time with him. And so I did. I sat in his mohair chair upholstered in a dapper grey pinstripe then curled up in a stunning love seat in a rich green velvet--sigh, where was my martini?  Did I mention he was British?

Mr. Brown is the clever new line from furniture designer Julian Chichester. The line is a masterful interpretation of informal British design with a youthful nod to today's modern sensibilities. Luxurious fabrics with playful details and rich finishes compose the line. My favorite piece (so hard to choose) was a dashing celadon side chair with cheeky brown buttons and velvet piping-so chic! Young, modern and British, Mr. Brown is a handsome tastemaker that is sure to be the toast of the town!

Barbara,
I included Mr. Brown in a NYIGF post as well. I was impressed with the line-up! Seems you and I have some of the same taste. Lunch soon?

I loved what I saw, but was on my last leg by the time I got there. I'll spend more time with Mr. Brown the next time around!!
