SPRING GREEN

I'm trying hard to ignore the rain falling outside my window this morning and decided to focus my attention on an optimistic dose of spring green.  The designer Amanda Nisbet is known for her masterful mix of colors and textures. I've always admired her ability to add bold strokes of color to a room with stylish results. Just look at the chic sitting room with walls painted a playful chartreuse and luxurious gold and grey accents. I've been hanging on to the tear sheet for months and recently decided to dip my foot into the color pool and bought a delicious Lee Jofa apple velvet for our master bedroom headboard.  My husband was a little skeptical, and honestly so was I.  I'm not sure I'm a candy apple girl-but its off to the upholsterer, so we shall see. How do you feel about a little spring green?

I love that shade of green. It is bright, but I see it as still being sort of a neutral because it is so frequently found in nature {I'm doing a lot of green studies at the market these days}. It is a wonderful blending color.

I think the headboard will be fabulous.

Enjoy the snow ~ we have torrential downpours of rain and hail on a frequent basis out here in the PNW. I cannot bring myself to complain, however, no tsunami's...

I have to say it is a lot of fun...that first picture is really beautiful. I don't know that I would ever get so bold as to paint or paper a room in that color but certainly appreciate it.......when it works. The pictures you showed do it justice!! Have a wonderful day.

I didn't used to think I liked green...then I just realized I hadn't found the right hue. Spring green is definitely a green I adore!

Heard that rain is moving out tomorrow! Sunny days are just around the corner!!

Shut that front door and open it back up! I love it!! I have an event to attend this Sat evening and I have been wanting to wear green for some reason. Haven't found anything yet...maybe I'll just come and take this off it's hinges and strap it on :D XO, Kelly

I love spring green and think a headboard would be wonderful. I don't know that I would paint an entire room spring green because I tend to like more subtle colors for walls but a headboard or spread would be divine.

Hmmm... this is interesting - feeling the pulse must be chartreuse green! A few months ago I started making pillows for my all white living room in two tones of greens - chartreuse and a soft sage green (Maya from Manuel Canovas). I always have a lilac colored plant in the room and that is it....soft, simple and pretty. And just today I started bringing it into my shop as well! That headboard is going to be dynamic - hope you will let us have a look when it is completed.
