I've always appreciated a smart little upholstered stool. Tucked under a console, the stool can be pulled out at a moments notice for extra seating. Living in the city, I've always been aware of the space (or lack thereof) and look for clever ways to increase my seating when we have company. I have a set of upholstered stools that were covered in a chic little H pattered fabric. Last year a black Sharpie left its mark smack in the middle of one of the stools, and not to be upstaged, the other stool soon had a red (popsicle?) stain. I loved the fabric but it was time for a change. Brunschwig's "Les Touches" in brown was the perfect replacement. Now I just have to figure out how to keep those Sharpies away!

kill the repeat something weird happening here in blog land!
I love your fabric choice. I'm a Les Touches fan - and it works perfectly on those stools. No doubt it will camouflage little drips, too!
You could work out so many different fabrics in that entry, it's lovely! That lamp is so plump and juicy!! I have always loved that NY proves that more space isn't needed to work out stylish spaces. In the thick of suburbia and Mc Mansions myself, I tell people all the time we don't need more space, we just need to fine tune every little thing we have and enjoy the quality of it. Your stools are a perfect example, all tucked neatly away ;) XO, Kelly
aren't Sharpies the best...my favorite Brunschwig fabric right now!!
I love your results! And, I loooovvvve the orange lamp!
Love your fresh new look! Yes, those sharpies can be an issue! :)

One of my favorite fabrics!! Love those little stools that look so chic in their new attire!
Well, I completely missed THIS party, but have to say I ADORE the new fabric and the stools in general! WOW!!! If I could find a pair of those stools in ANY fabric, they would come home with me at once!!!
Love'em!
