CARNIVAL FANTASY

Have you noticed the cheery Christmas carols being piped through the department stores since Halloween? What's the big rush?  Tradition seems to be changing at Ipad speed with Black Friday and Cyber Monday making room for a frantic Thanksgiving day shopping spree, but I can't embrace the holidays until we've put away the last Thanksgiving leftover. With yesterday's stuffing ready for today's lunch, I can finally enjoy a little Deck the Halls and turn my attention to the fabulous Bergdorf Goodman Holiday windows that went up earlier this week. The theme this year is an etheral The Carnival of the Animals. The magical menagerie is the work of David Hoey and his amazing visual team. Gorgeous displays celebrating our precious wildlife and their habitats are all wrapped in a glittery Bergdorf bow--Happy Holidays!
 .
The North Pole Garden Party features a wooly moose and glittery bear peaking out of tufted doors. The J. Mendel chiffon dress is something to celebrate!

The ‘brass menagerie’ highlights a flock of tropical metal birds made in the 1970’s by artist Sergio Bustamante. Naeem Khan designed a dress specifically for the stylish songstress cooing in the window.

Take a swim in the deep end with the Aquarium window, with fish made by artist Brett Windham that are encrusted with mosaic tile, and rhinestones, gems, and sequins for good measure.

Barbara, definitely one of those takes my breath away kinds of posts!! I cannot wait to see these windows in person that North Pole window is out of this world..so magical and fastasy like. I miss going into the city for my fun carefree days....and feel so deprived of all that beauty and inspriation.....but in due time, when my head is out of moving and getting geared up for the holidays, hopefully the dust will settle and life will slowly get back to normal:) Thanks for this beautiful little getaway!

The aquarium window is absolutely my favorite but that J. Mendel dress, oh so stunning.

The windows look fabulous but like you no shopping for me this weekend, hate crowds. We did however put up our outside wreaths on the house and barn, it's tradition the day after Thanksgiving.

Enjoy your weekend!

Spectacular windows as always - such a visual feast. We usually go to NYC every December for a long weekend of shopping and it's always worth the trip just to see the windows - sad we won't be there this year, but loved your tour!!
