FALL TABLESCAPE

Fall entertaining is fun. It's the perfect time to bring out your favorite china and crystal and set an elegant table. I find that I rarely use my good china in the summer-between BBQ's and pool parties my simple white Pottery Barn plates get quite a workout and when they accidentally break it's no big deal. For me, Fall brings smaller, more intimate dinners; a table set for four near the fireplace, a bottle of cabernet and a plate of beef bourgoignone sounds perfect. Here's my favorite Fall tablescape:

-Herend Rothschild china-my wedding pattern.  I loved it then and still love it now!
-Simple linen napkins-I keep stacks of them pressed and ready to go.
-Gilded rosemary napkin rings. A new purchase from Barney's will add a little sparkle to the table.
-The Printery place cards are so chic and everyone will know where to sit!
-St. Louis crystal-another wedding favorite that is classic and works well paired with other glassware.
-Pagoda salt and pepper-so chic
-Bamboo flatware-I like to add a rustic touch to the table.  I could bring out the silver but the bamboo is unexpected and fun.
How do you like to entertain this Fall?

Lovely table! Those salt and pepper shakers were the only thing that wasn't given to us from our wedding registry that I so wish I had just bought myself a couple years ago.

Barbara, you have just set my dream table too. LOVE this Herend pattern, anything from The Printery, yes to bamboo and anything pagoda-ish is a big fat yes in my book. LOVE what you are loving...and this is the height of timeless elegance. Just fabulous!!

Love this! Reminds me of my recent trip and the fabulous book I won here, which I just mentioned again today. I am off the check out those S&P shakers. I think they are a must have for me seeing as our house is named "Pagoda"!
