I recently came across this pretty sea urchin salt cellar ($40) by Celia Landman on the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) website. The gift store site showcases a selection of art, jewelry and home accessories designed and produced by RISD students and faculty. It's a great resource for amazing gifts at great prices-best of all, the profits go back to RISD for special programs. There are hundreds of beautifully designed items featured on the site, here are a few of my favorites:
Nesting tables by Paul Loebach ($400)
Round Framed record mirror ($135) Jeff Davis
Gummy bracelet ($40) Yasmin Khun
Take Out light by Chris Haines ($48)
Penguin Pocket Pillow ($104) Stephanie Housley
Oyster soap dish ($28) Alison Evans
Square Ribbon vase ($90) Peter Hewitt
Giraffe toilet brush ($16) Christopher Raia
And the winner of the MacKenzie-Childs tray is Design Chic-congratulations!

That take out light is so fun. It would be interesting to put LED lights in it and use it in a contemporary Chinese restaurant.
That tray was beautiful!
Have a great weekend, Cindy
We are thrilled to win the amazing giveaway, Barbara, and just in time for the holidays!! Can't wait to visit the RISD website - totally obsessed with the sea urchin salt cellar. Hope you have a wonderful weekend ~
Lucky Design Chic girls!! WOW - thank you for reminding me - I totally forgot about the RISD site. I went to the "sister" school and we were allowed to take 4 classes there for credit, which of course I did. They also have a FABULOUS small museum. That would be a great trip since Providence is now such a fantastic city - a great stop perhaps on the way to Newport, the Cape or the ferry to Nantucket!
Your list is perfection, I want every single item you covet for, especially that grummy bracelet, they would all be an amazing addition to my life. Your blog is lovely and I'm a new follower! Hope you'll like my blog and follow back!

Wow! Those are pretty amazing pieces.
I am loving the sea urchin.
One of my clients purchased all of her dishes from a sale from our local college's art department. They are beautiful ceramics, all hand made. What an affordable way to acquire some lovely pieces for a collection. You never know which artist will be famous someday!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yours is beautiful.
