OFF THE WALL CLOSETS

A Jonathan Adler design
I've been researching dressing rooms for a client recently and for inspiration, I've rounded up a list of envy worthy photos that I can't wait to share with her (and you!). Plans have already been developed, but we still have to choose carpet, lighting and furniture, those design decisions that can take a room from great to extraordinary. Her dressing room will be diva Mariah Carey worthy, crafted from beautiful milled wood with rows of shoe cubbies, lined jewelry drawers, mirrored doors and a gorgeous custom desk set beneath a picture window. I'm ready to move in and it's not even built yet! Chic and glamourous, sleek and sophisticated or hopelessly romantic-what does your dream closet look like?
One of my favorites-the Ikat paneled doors, silk bench and leather pulls are so sophisticated. Designed by Stephen Gambrel
Kelly Wearstler's dressing room features bold patterned carpet and glossy gold paint are super luxe
Beautiful millwork, marble floors and a crystal chandelier is so glamorous
Jeffery Weisman's dressing room is light infused with a gorgeous fretwork door.
Laura Bohn's creates a luxurious retreat with texture-
Luis Bustamante's sleek Deco inspired dressing room features lacquered cabinets and a modern nickel light fixture.
Massuco-Warner-Miller's sleek dressing room features a beautiful carved custom pocket door
For the girl who can't live without a little pink!

All fabuous!! My favorite here is Massuco-Warner-Miller's beautifully tailored space. I also ADORE Aerin Lauder's beautiful dressing room/closet.

If Stephen Gambrel does it, I love! While Kelly Wearsler's work is sometimes over the top, this dressing room is spectacular! LOVE the millwork. Ok they are all beautiful, and i would love any of them.
Have a great Monday.

I love them all! I don't know exactly what my dream closet looks like but I know nothing would be very high. I am short and I hate having to tippy toe to hang stuff up. Perhaps I could push a button and the racks would lower for me - yes that would be a dream :)

Is it wrong that I have dreams of when my children are grown and move out ...how I plan on taking on of their rooms and making it my dressing room...mind you, I have a 1 year old, with plans of giving her a sibling in about 1-2 years...so this dream is at least 20 years away! ;)

If I could have one half of any of these closets I would be in heaven. Then I could shop for more clothes too!

Well this makes my sad little closet even worse. I think we share the same favorite - those ikat panels are amazing!

They are all so beautiful, but mine would have wonderful millwork, a beautiful chandelier and loads of room for shoes. Stephen Gambrels would be perfect!!
