CHEVRON HERE TO STAY?

Veranda
The chevron pattern, immortalized by Missoni, has been a strong design trend for several years. The ubiquitous zigzag design is a versatile print that's found its way onto pillows, lamps, rugs and accessories galore. Designer Madeline Weinrib celebrates the print on a popular rug collection, Quadrille's fabulous collection of chevron prints is very sought after and the retailer West Elm carries nearly everything else one would need in a cheeky chevron print. Is the love affair over?  Have we had enough of the saucy stripe?

Personally, I'm still infatuated with the print, especially when it's used as a statement maker, celebrating its bold, brash charm.  How about you?

I am a huge fan of the Chevron print. It's so interesting, while still being chic. I hope it is here to stay!

I love chevron. It's popularity lately makes it seem as if it's a trend, but I think of it as a classic pattern. It has really been around forever.... so in my book anyway- it's here to stay. Great examples!!

Love chevron, and have been looking at rugs. Beautiful images here. I really like the pattern on the chairs in the first image.
Have a nice Monday, Barbara.

Hi Barbara...love that first image, the colors are so rich. I do like it a lot, but don't think I could have it all over my floors, it makes me dizzy. A friend actually got a great looking chevron rug for her bedroom but both she and her hubby said they both started getting dizzy so they have since replaced it, therefore I prefer it on a chair or pillows or an accent of some sort. Its a classic though!

I'm still completely charmed as well....so I hope it's here to stay. Love to zig and love to zag!

Hope your week is off to a wonderful, albeit chilly, start!

I sure hope it is here to stay for a while. For me, it is the black and white of patterns. Always in style, always elegant. So sophisticated when used properly. Beautiful images!

I keep thinking it might go out of vogue, but then there are all of these amazing new images like you've shown. I'm still a fan!

I still like it, but a little goes a long way! I have an agua zig-zag fabric that I fell in love with, I only bought a yard to cover a stool with so I wouldn't get sick of it :)

I bought a chevron rug for my living room and in or out, I love it. It gives it a very modern, fresh appeal and works nicely with my mix of furniture and accessories.
