BEHIND THE PRIVET: FURTHER LANE CONTEMPORARY

Tucked away amongst East Hampton's traditional gable-roofed ocean front mansion's sits a modern masterpiece by star designer Joe D'Urso that brings contemporary beach chic to new heights. Situated on 3.5 acres on prestigious Further Lane, the striking home features a domed observatory, stylish infinity edge pool, secluded tennis court, koi pond and beautiful pergola. A variety of natural grass and vegetation serves to soften the homes strong angular lines and focus on the beautiful oceanfront location. The chic interiors of the 8 bedroom, 7 bath home were conceived by one of my favorite design firms, Fox-Nahem. The design team was spot-on with their clean, nature inspired interiors which utilize natural wood and stone and luxurious materials in monochromatic tones which compliment the beautiful oceanfront views. Beautiful, luxurious, beachy-the perfect summer home!

I love it all! I might even try to play tennis if I had this place - and that's saying something believe me :)

Dreamy!!! Now this is my kinda beach home! I have a beach house in Fire Island and it's right on the ocean but it's a very far cry from this beauty :) xoxo

I am not a fan of modern by any means, but that house is amazing! I think I could quickly get over my aversion toward modern architecture in such a place. :)

Once I saw the tennis court, it was love at first sight! The patio is beautiful, and the entire home is perfect for this setting. I could live here.
Thank you for sharing, Barbara, and have a nice Monday.

I love this series and so glad you get on the other side of the privet so we may see. I'm not a big modern house fan but loving this one the inside is relaxed and family friendly.

The vistas are so beautiful. Not big on modern but this is done very well. Love all the light and open spaces. I can almost feel and smell that beach air now......

I'm typically not a modern design person but this is very well done - all the way down the the Koi pond! The home looks as though it belongs there, fitting in perfectly with it's surroundings.

And I actually do have a few questions for you if it's allright. Is it only me or does it look like some of these comments look like coming from brain dead people? :-P And, if you are writing on additional online sites, I would like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post. Would you make a list of the complete urls of your social sites like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
