CLOSET CONFIDENTIAL GUEST POST: THE ALTERNATIVE WIFE

I'm thrilled that Dawn from The Alternative Wife agreed to participate in our Closet Confidential series today. One of my favorite daily reads, Dawn brings a discerning eye for fashion and trends coupled with the most captivating images and prose--a delicious daily indulgence!  A fellow Manhattanite, we haven't met in person yet...but I plan to remedy that soon, perhaps an Friday night bellini?

Let's see what's behind Dawn's closet doors...

What are the 5 essential clothing items in your closet?
It changes seasonally but I'll go with fall/winter.  Black tanks {I wear them almost everyday, year round actually}, sweaters, boots, skirts, tights.
The one thing in my closet that I should get rid of but just can part with:
Black patent leather pointy flats that I've owned for 10 years.  They're the most fabulous, comfortable shoes ever so I just keep getting them re-soled.
Describe your perfect outfit:
Long fur vest layered over a black jacket or sweater, scarf, leggings and over the knee boots.
There’s always room in my closet for:
More scarves
My dream closet would include:
First and foremost is SPACE, lots of room for shoes and boots preferably with built ins, shelves for bags, drawers for jewelry organization and lingerie, a chandelier, sitting area with a gorgeous chair, settee or ottoman, and a fabulous rug.

I’ve kept_________hoping (it would fit, it would come back in style, sentimental):
Leather pants
I never have enough:
Again scarves.  I buy them constantly.  It could be considered a problem. But if I had to pick something else, I'd go with other accessories, clutches, shoes, cocktail rings, bangles.  Anything to transform a basic look.  That way you can work with your staples.

Designer closet envy would be:
Georgina Chapman

Neat or messy?
Neat
My latest addition to my closet is:
Camel off the shoulder sweater and black flat over the knee riding boots
The last thing I got rid of was:
Summer dresses
Extra shelves or extra hangers?
Shelves
You would be surprised I have/don’t have:
Many pants.  I'm a skirt and dress girl at heart.
I have an extensive collection of:
Clutches
Your organizational motto is:
Tops to bottoms by color.
What do you like about your closet?
It's a walk-in
What would you change?
More shelves and better lighting
Best closet tip for organization:
Velvet hangers
Right now your closet is in a state of:
A bit of clutter.  Time to purge some more!
Thank you for guest posting today Dawn. I loved learning about your stylish (and very neat) closet!

I'm wearing a black tank right now! A staple for me as well. This is reminding me to get out my scarves, I never remember to wear them. Our weather here in Phoenix doesn't require lots of layering :)

How fun to peak into Dawn's closet - she's making me want to get organized! I'm a skirt and dress girl too, but think I might also be guilty of hanging on to a leather pants - perhaps it's time for them to go!
Happy Thursday to you both!

Sounds perfect and I love the layers! Black tanks, scarfs, cashmere tights, and boots are essential here in WA state - woke up to snow and rain mix again..

I also have tanks as a staple, usually black. Scarves are my addiction as I wear one in some way every day! Loved Dawn's closet interview!

Wouldn't it be great to have that mirrored vanity in your closet/dressing room?

I'm with Dawn --- I'm much more comfortable in skirts and dresses than pants. Though I realize that I'm in leggings/boots as I write!!

Dawn is a daily stop for me, so love learning more about her and her closet style!!

If you have a document or email that you need to send to a client or business partner, you simply sign into to the Internet fax service, input the phone number, upload the documents, and send them to the recipient. However, they have no start-up fee and they offer 24/7 customer support. We all love our youngsters and wouldn't desire to think that they could doubtless be lying to us, but in truth this cannot always be the situation. Don't you think that your life will be simpler with the use of the Google fax? Anyway when you want to send a fax, you need to compose the mail, attach a file or a picture that you need to send.

I'm really loving the theme/design of your blog. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility problems? A couple of my blog readers have complained about my site not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Chrome. Do you have any tips to help fix this problem?

I have been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It's pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.

This latter factor affects nursery, primary and high school
going learners also. The main reason is the gender-biased interpretation of the Qur'anic text by men of religion. Wearing transparent or thin attire is also strictly disallowed in to Islam.
