ON THE HALF SHELL

Madegoods Shagreen Box
The iconic seashell motif has become a mainstay in interior design for years. Placed on a coffee table or wedged in a bookcase, shells have become the go-to nature inspired accessory. In recent years, the seashell as a design element has been reinterperted in a fresh, modern way--from clustered sconces to shell topped shagreen boxes, adding a vibrancy and edge to the classic seashell. My favorites to roll ashore...

Are you still inspired by the seashell?

Oh my goodness. The Coco Tray would make a fabulous vessel with a small silver spoon for scented hand scrub. Love all of these choices, Barbara.

Barbara these items are so pretty! I have a big bowl full of shells that might have to go into duty as something else. Great ideas.

Enjoy your day!

Barbara,
I confess, I do love shells and don't have a single one in my house. I like the organic method for finding and displaying shells but have always thought I needed to live by the sea for it to seem appropriate. I remember seeing a home in a magazine somewhere in Florida where the owners and a wonderful jar filled with sea glass they had found on walks.
There are some pretty examples in your post.
