After exchanging emails with Molly at The New Traditionalists for months, I finally made my way down to their stylish showroom in SoHo earlier this week. It didn't hurt that Molly promised to have a hot cappuccino from Balthazar waiting for me (she delivered!) I had been browsing through their entertaining website recently, filled with pithy quotes and an impressive furniture collection designed and manufactured locally. Like the name, their pieces are based on traditional furniture forms but designed with a stylish twist; open the drawer of a dark console and find a hot pink interior-surprise! With a host of beautiful forms and finishes and a rainbow of chic hues, you can customize pieces to suit your taste and decor.
 Glossy bedside glamour
A design board filled with finishes--they will even use your favorite Benjamin Moore paint sample
Cerused wood + four poster bed = sophisticated elegance
Strong lines and versatility, this console would be beautiful in a family room, hallway or bedroom
 Traditional form, untraditional side chair
The red interior is a welcome surprise
My favorite piece-this desk has beautiful lines and elegant hardware
Are you traditional, untraditional or a little of both?
