A fine mist of snow gently showered me and a friend during a recent night out. We weren't stranded on the curb waiting to get into the Hudson Hotel--rather, I was tucked into a sheepskin blanket, sitting on the rooftop bar in a winter wonderland of sorts. You see snow falls every night at the Hudson Lodge, an urban ski-resort themed bar deep in the heart of Manhattan. The tented space is decorated ski-lodge chic with rustic wood tables, fur pillows and blankets and a smattering of taxidermy for effect. We grabbed a sofa (not an easy thing to do) and ordered a round of drinks: a cold snowcone cocktail for me (childhood harkened and I couldn't resist) and a hot Chocolate Bon Bon cocktail for my friend. To eat, no run of the mill bar food here-we tucked into a green chili fondue and a S'more grilled cheese sandwich; so glad we didn't have to make a run down the slopes to get home!

What a fun spot. Nothing like NYC! That grilled cheese looks so good.
I'm bowled over by that sandwich, the ingredients sound crazy but I'd love to try it.
How cool is that! I have to go...feel so out of the "city loop".....and really miss it. Going in tomorrow and cannot wait. This looks like a must visit kind of place.....bringing a little bit of the old west to the big apple, love it!
