NICK OLSEN DESIGNS FOR LEE JOFA

Bold, jaunty, sophisticated- New York interior designer Nick Olsen's bedroom for the NY showroom of Lee Jofa is full of life. You might remember Olsen from his days as Domino's Deal Hunter and his work with designer Miles Redd, where he obviously honed his cultivated use of color. Here, Olsen takes a preppy pink and green color combination and turns it on its heels--layering deep turquoise and emerald greens with pops of hot pink and raspberry. The walls are cocooned in a playful pink awning stripe which contrasts nicely with an ethereal cloud blue ceiling. The richly layered room is fun and edgy, a stunning bedroom lair!

It is beautiful and happy. Love the way it is all complimenting itself within...striped wall with floral print sofa and solid bad headboard...just the perfect basic idea from which it all evolves...definitely inspires me and love the blue ceilings...also did that in our dining room and my son's bedroom....has green walls and blue ceiling....just love the stripes on the wall...also, because it is such a happy combo, I did a mild version of it in our nook...bit of pink and some blue and aqua-green on greige background....with black and gray accents...well, sorry for the long write up...just love this colour combo, our house can handle only more subtle milder version of this....but love it! hugs Z
