JUST A LITTLE MERLOT FOR ME

Mila Kunis Emmy ready
After my third holiday cocktail party in as many days, there are two things that have become very clear to me; no one can resist a good pig in a blanket hors d'oeuvre and merlot, that deep, delicious burgundy hue is the holiday color of the moment. Whether it's a delicate cocktail frock or slinky chemise, a touch of bold merlot is the perfect holiday accessory!
A chic cocktail dress in a rich red is the quintessential holiday party look
Who can resist these chic satin heels?

Beautifully draped chiffon in deep burgundy is a stylish party option

A mani and pedi in Chanel Gondola--holiday perfect!

Brocade jeans in a deep merlot go from day to party at night

Add a pop of color with a luxe gemstone clutch

A flirty Noel look-- a silky chemise in deep claret looks beautiful

KNEE DEEP

While walking up Madison Avenue this afternoon, I was struck by a fashion predicament that seems to be plaguing many of cities well-heeled ladies. Sandals or boots?  It's true, we're at that in-between stage;  a veritable fashion "Wild West". The storefront windows are filled with suede but the weather is a balmy 75 degrees and we're still days before fall. It's a time when anything goes-sandals, boots, tights and yes, white pants. Thankfully, fall arrives this Wednesday-time to retire your summer shoes and boot up.  I've been pining for a pair of above the knee boots, so chic with leggings and jeans. Buttons, bikers or suede, I'm ready to put my best foot forward.
