You don't need a special occasion to set a beautiful table. Pull out a set of plates or flatware that you haven't used for a while and mix it up with your everyday dishes for a fresh new look. I've had a beautiful set of antique pearl handled forks and knives for years. When I mix the flatware with stock faux bamboo ceramic plates, the table setting becomes something really special.
I keep large glass urns filled with shells, coral and sea glass I've collected over time. In lieu of flowers, the table features some of my favorite shells which compliment the pearl flatware and personalize the table.
