BEDROOM WITH A VIEW

I've come to appreciate the the large wrap around windows that showcase the Harlem River and beautiful Manhattan skyline in my bedroom.  Better than any oil painting (except maybe a Matisse) the windows provide a dazzling portrait of the city bathed in sunlight during the day and the quiet romance of the moon and stars at night.

You don't quite realize the importance of your bedroom until you've spent some time there.  We've all had our brief "I've had a bad day let me snuggle under the covers" time but when your are seriously ill, your bedroom takes on different requirements. Having spent some time convalescing, my advice is to make the room comfortable and cheery. Freshly ironed sheets and fluffy pillows as well as a good reading light are very important.  Put some flowers in the room-a vase of yellow roses from the corner store in a pretty vase will brighten the room and also lift your spirit. Keep a tray with a water carafe, medication, books, telephone, iPod and remote control all within easy reach.  Allow yourself to rest and relax--and enjoy the quite.

"You don't quite realize the importance of your bedroom until you've spent some time there. " Love this! The bedroom can be the most important room in the house--where we go to relax and recharge. This is an incredible view...!
