Thanksgiving seems to sneak up on me every year.  It feels like I've just finished putting the outdoor furniture away and poof, it's time to dust off my famous Grand Marnier corn bread stuffing recipe and get ready for company.  This year I'll be hosting extended family in the city for a casual buffet the night before Thanksgiving and after a quick group count, I discovered that I'm in desperate need of extra seating.

In Southampton I keep a set of eight honey colored bamboo ballroom chairs that I pair with black or natural linen cotton covers for stylish instant additional party seating.  After renting one too many rickety chairs, I purchased them a few years ago from Bowery Kitchen Supplies and found them to be a great investment.  But in the city, where space is at a premium, I need my seating to do double duty.  I was delighted to find these clear lucite ballroom chairs online at Ruby Beets and Perch. The slim profile and elegant lines are a modern take on a traditional chair, sophisticated and chic for city living.  Perfect for dressing tables or desks, I recently bought a pair to flank the console in my tiny entry foyer. The clear plastic virtually disappears in the tight space and when company arrives I'll be ready with elegant additional seating.

Love these, obviously! If only they came in colors a la the Ghost Chair in purple or something...I wish!
