I KNOW THAT RUG!

Recently, The Skirted Roundtable interviewed Beth Rubino, the set designer for the movies Something's Gotta Give and It's Complicated. I'm always excited to see who the ladies are interviewing and found their discussion entertaining and charming. The post included lots of photos from the beautifully appointed movie sets, and as I scrolled down the photos, I recognized the classic Country English living room set from Something's Gotta Give, with a vibrant striped blue dhurrie rug covering the dark wood floors. OMG! That's my rug! I told Joni of Cote de Texas that I was now the owner of the rug, which I had purchased along with an Oly Hannah chair from a designer benefit in Southampton in 2008. The rug now sits in my summer home bedroom and its cool blue tones and casual cotton are just perfect. I forwarded Joni a few photos of my bedroom, which can be seen today on Cote de Texas along with a beautifully written piece on lovely striped rugs. Thanks Joni!
