DEVINE HAMPTON DESIGNER SHOWHOUSE

A long winding road deep in the woods of Sag Harbor, leads to this years 2010 Hampton Designer Showhouse, sponsored by Traditional Home, Decorati and One Kings Lane.  Nestled on a 5 acre wooded parcel and surrounded by 62 reserve acres, the new "spec" home is a traditional post modern, featuring clusters of large windows, beautiful wrap around porches and a breathtaking $5.5 million dollar listing price! The 10,000 square feet home has all the bells and whistles: a gunite pool, tennis court , fire pit,  7 bedrooms, 8.5 baths, spa room and of course, a custom movie theater. The light and airy rooms have been beautifully appointed by an impressive collaboration of over 30 designers, including design veterans Richard Keith Langham and Barbara Ostrom. The overall vibe of the house is a perfect combination of trendy and traditional, with many of the rooms featuring a strong use of white punctuated by bold strokes of color.  The showhouse is open daily until September 5 and benefits the Southampton Hospital.  I would definitely recommend a visit- the house is filled with wonderful design inspiration!

Double height foyer features traditional paneled walls which juxtapose beautifully with a trio of modern glass lanterns.
My favorite bedroom: Arden Stephenson's sunny glazed yellow walls highlight the custom turquoise headboard.  Beautiful hand blown striped vases and silver night table bring glamour to the room.

Master bath is a picture of luxury with calming greys and lavender.  Beautiful French cabinets flank an English soaking tub.

Serene study: Lucas Studio's use of vintage upholstered pieces and soft              printed Italian wallpaper creates a calm oasis.
                                            Outdoor space pops with color.
A study in white: Bakes & Company kitchen features 2 inch Calcutta counters and custom nickel trim.
Bakes & Co. breakfast room features wrap-around windows and soft silver blue upholstered pieces.

Love all the great splashes of color from yellow to orange to coral - so summery and fresh! I'm hoping to see the house when I'm out for Labor Day!

It appears you and I enjoyed the same rooms! I did a post about the showhouse last Monday and featured many of the same spaces. Good minds think alike! I sent you an e-mail.

Along with San Francisco, I think this is one of the best annual showhouse. Thanks for sharing these pics.

That outdoor space is fabulous - obviously don't have to deal with the Australian dust issues!
