A LITTLE BLACK FOR YOUR FRIDAY

Black Friday-Gorgeous Black Interiors
Not for the faint of heart, black interiors definitely make a statement and translate well in both contemporary and traditional interiors.  Like any good neutral, pair black with a touch of color and the rooms temperature and tone completely changes. I love dramatic glossy black paint in a small hallway or on a row of wood cabinets (think butlers pantry) -its surprising what a little black can do to boost the mood in your room!

How are you spending your Black Friday?

Love the detailing on the back of the black dining table chairs! Spending time with all my college sons home on Black Friday - NO shopping involved!

I once read every room should have a little black and I think it's true - gives it a grounding and a touch of elegance.

I would imagine that it is very difficult for a designer to work successfully with black--but they really did manage to pull it off here.

Great ideas!

Black in interiors always looks so urban and sophisticated to me. I have not had the courage to paint any of my homes' walls black, but love seeing other people taking the plunge. Maybe one of these days.
