HO HO-HA HA

So many captions came to mind when I saw this photo on One Kings Lane this morning-most of them unprintable.  I'm no grinch-in fact, I'm the first one in the family to string popcorn, get everyone in the car to pick up the tree and make a batch or two of cookies, but the thought of a pair of  enormous gold Christmas ornaments on my lawn is hard for me to imagine.  I can only envision my family pulling up to the house- "Are we on Punk'd?"  "Where's Ashton?"  No, I don't think I will be purchasing the enormous gold-leaf ornament set from Design Solutions for $20,000.  Even with the 50% discount a little steep, no? I'll stick to my wreath and white lighted trees--bigger isn't always better.

On the other hand...they are dwarfed by the ginormous mansion in the background lol!

Given that these over the top ornaments sit on the lawn of what appears to be a prim and proper home...I imagine that the people who live within have a fab sense of humor! Loving it even though it isn't what I would do!

Well, they're jaw-dropping, that's for sure--although in a "look at us, aren't we fab?" kind of way. I'd rather see them in front of a department store or on the lawn of a library or something along those lines.

Oh no...not a fan of the giant holiday decor on the front lawn...this goes for blow up snowman, santas, candy canes and the like...those ornaments are just crazy too!

ha, i was laughing about this when I saw it as well! Funny enough, that house in the background is just around the corner from me in Dallas (highland park) and sadly, this isn't the worst of the decorations on that street... people go way over the top here for christmas. Last I checked, they were "on hold"... really, who would ever buy that!

Have to agree with you here, Barbara. Way too much!
The home is beautiful, but they can keep their balls.
Have a great day.

I guess it would take some you-know-whats to have balls that size on your front lawn... Even if the house behind is the size of a small castle!

Given the choice between the behemoth ornaments or one of those inflatable lawn Santas or snowmen, the ornaments look pretty good!
