LIGHT AS A....

Feather!
Exotic, soft, wispy feathers can add graphic drama to a table and look fresh and elegant forever!  How do you incorporate feathers into your seasonal decor?  Mix earthy pheasant plumes with a stark white vase for a dramatic, minimalist contrast.  I'm enchanted by Tobi Fairley's clever use of pheasant plumes on a traditional evergreen wreath.  Bright green apples and a matching velvet bow heighten the delicate nature of the plumes-the look is stylish and spectacular! Even simply laying of a few plumes at a place setting lends a delicate rustic charm to the table.
I plan on incorporating a spray of posh plumes on my wreath this year--what inspires your holiday decor?'

Thanks for stopping by! I love the look of feathers and am currently inspired by small white feathered christmas trees to put on a console or bookshelf!

I love these images, Barbara! Grant shot a pheasant at his dad's ranch....and he brought the feathers home. Sadly, they are still attached to the scalp, but I told him if he will de-feather it, I'd love to decorate with them!!

Hope you had a stunning holiday!

How pretty and festive! I've seen feather boas as wreaths but I love Tobi's mix of color and pine. Great inspiration for the holidays!

Love these images--the wreath is great! I had a few pheasant feathers in my fall decorations, but I hadn't really thought of mixing them into Christmas. Reconsidering now!

Thank you for your beautiful visit.I love feathers, in fact I used long white plumes in my wedding bouquet many years ago, a rare site with white roses.

Love your displays and center piece's you drew inspiration off of.

feathers always make for an elegant relaxed look for entertaining or just a chic feel to your home.

These are all so chic and beautiful. Love the wreath and I'm especially drawn to the two crossed feathers on the brown napkin.
