SANTACON

I'm always amazed by the sights and sounds of the city and this past Saturday did not disappoint.  While running errands early in the morning, we drove up 72nd Street and spotted a group of Santa's making their way to Central Park.  Upon closer inspection, these Santa's looked more like college students, their pajama like costume's were marked by cottony beards, Converse sneakers and Ugg's.  We followed the group to the park and saw hundreds of Santa's and a few elves convening on the Great Lawn. I felt like I had stumbled upon a parallel universe where everything was bearded, happy and jolly. "It's Santacon!" one of the revellers yelled noticing my perplexing stare. Santacon-the annual Santa Convention that takes place in several cities around the world is a spontaneous and fun opportunity for "Santas" to parade publicly, spread good cheer and hit the local bars. Ho,Ho, Ho!

Beginning of the week news-The winner of last weeks giveaway is Maureen at Suburban Prep. Congratulations Maureen!

Oh my gosh, that's hilarious. I wonder if it's confusing for children?

That would have been so much fun to stumble upon. The sight of Santa always makes me grin ear to ear. There is something magical about old St.Nick!
