THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT
Until a few years ago, children's bedroom furniture had largely focused on sweet nursery designs and hip 'tween decor with very little design inspiration for the little ones in between. Until now. At the 2010 New York International Gift Fair design darlings Oly Studio and Jonathan Adler launched their Junior lines, gorgeous Louis XVI chairs and mid-century inspired sofas that any savvy kid (and mom) would love. This year, I found and fell in love with the mini modern classics at Little Nest. With mini replicas of the classic LC2 chair, originally designed by the Le Corbusier group and the Yolk Chair, a child sized replica of the famous 1950's Egg chair, your little one will be sitting pretty.
I've had my eye on Little Nest for quite some time...love their offerings!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Kids furniture HAS come a loooong way, hasn't it? So chic and sophisticated...wow! I did see a lot of great things for the younger set at the show and see they even have their own section now. Impressive and let's face it no matter how down an economy might be, we never seem to balk at prices when it comes to our kids:)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has grown and flown the nest and still I'm wonering if it would be weird to have some of this in my house :) Why is everything so much cuter in miniature?
ReplyDeleteThe first image makes me smile! And that last chair... is it wrong that I want it for myself? So cute!
