I found out this weekend they are closing almost all the Borders here, all the ones anywhere near my home. Shocking to me as Phoenix is the 6th largest city in the country. I still have the library for my books but buying them just got a little trickier. Has the Kindle done this I wonder or are people just not reading anymore?
Nice! Last night at our Oscar party we were all discussing who likes reading vs movies. I chose reading, but I don't get to do it as much as I would like. Shame on me! Great message :) XO
I just started Abraham Verghese's novel Cutting for Stone. So far, very promising--I have a feeling I will soon be engrossed! Love the NY Public Library, too.
The NY Public Library is one of my favorite places in NY - love this photo. I just finished and enjoyed "Her Fearful Symmerty" by Audrey Niffenegger. I was also going to suggest BookPageXTRA for suggestions & found that they also mention this book, which is by the author of "The Time Travelers Wife" - enjoy! Best, Colleen
So great! Recently finished Girl in Translation, it was excellent!
ReplyDeleteNow, I was in NY this past week and saw a NY public library. I wonder if I missed this. This is such a great photo!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing.
