HUNGRY GIRL

 Macarons by Mad Mac
I have a confession to make--I am a night owl; when everyone else is in bed, I'm raring to go. You would think I would use this time of quiet solitude wisely--working on client's plans or writing a blog post, but no, I'm up late nearly every night tuning in to my guilty pleasure-Food Network's Diners, Drive-In's and Dives. When chef Guy Fieri drives his red GTO up to a local dive, I know I'm going to witness great cooking. Definitely not good for the diet, my Food Network fix is always fascinating and inspiration for me to try something new in the kitchen. Today kicks off the New York Wine & Food Festival, a three day event presented by Food & Wine magazine benefiting the Food Bank For New York City. My daughter (the perfect sous chef) and I will be attending a cake decorating session with Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes on Sunday. If you are in town, the festival is a must for serious foodies or anyone who is really hungry!

What will you be doing this weekend?

Sounds like fun! And Guy Fieri cracks me up! We visited a few of his stops while in Maine this summer.

Will you look at those cakes?! I love maccaroons - it's probably best that I don't have any around the house right now. Enjoy your time this weekend - can't wait to hear a recap. While we'll be working around the house most of the weekend, Hubby & I do have a date night, so looking forward to that!

Those cakes are so much fun! I've don't watch any cooking shows, but I'm sure I would enjoy them. I love cooking and creating meals for my family. I'm out East this weekend...yesterday was gorgeous, today it is raining. Heading to Sag for lunch in a few moments. You and me lunch soon?
