NYC20 Art + Design Fair

The NYC20 Art + Design Fair opened its doors this past Friday night in a tent at Lincoln Center, promising a Mad Man worthy collection of important Mid-20th Century furniture. The opening preview party, benefiting the Bard Graduate Center, was filled with collectors and admirers sipping white wine (no martinis!) and oogling the impressive collectables from 36 1stdibs dealers. The first booth I approached was LA based Dragonette Ltd. A super glamorous vignette featured a rare set of four curly-walnut hostess chairs designed by William Haines for the home of Jack and Anne Warner. So chic!  I lingered over the futuristic fiberglass lounge chairs by Mexican designer Arturo Pani from the Downtown gallery and couldn't resist trying on a bracelet or two from Camilla Dietz Bergeron's collection of vintage Verdura and Cartier pieces, after all, a girl can dream.  If you are in town today and feel like channeling a little Betty Draper, visit the fair, you won't be disappointed.

Looks fabulous!! Heard it was a marvelous event. LOVE Downtown and of course my love (perhaps closer to addiction) of Camilla Dietz Bergeron is well documented - literally!!

In the 80's could not wait not to have go to another relatives home who were in 60's styles hold complete with the scent of mothballs and Persian lamb coats . WISH I Kept it all! The junk collector had more foresight than I.
Thanks for looking at it again in a fresh and edited fashion.

THANKS HH

I am drooling over the Verdura collection. I think I'd be willing to leave part of my house unfurnished to have one of those fab baubles!!

And, anything Mad Men related gets my vote!
