DRIVEN TO DESIGN INSPIRATION

I saw this cute hybrid golf cart/mini car getting lots of appreciative glances this weekend on Jobs Lane in Southampton. It's true, most of the admiration came from woman, after all, this adorable little number doesn't look like it could hit 30 mph all in, but thats not the point of this car. It's a fashion statement of sorts-all glossy, sunny orange exterior and sassy, preppy interior with jaunty monogrammed front seats and a wicker bench in the back. What a ride, I'm in love!

While I don't see this car in my near future, I was inspired by the bold monogram and bright orange hue. Together they bring a vibrancy and modern sensibility to a room, the perfect combination for a summer bedroom.

Hope you had a happy Memorial Day Weekend!

That is the cutest little golf cart/car. Orange is my favorite color and that little thing would be perfect around my town during the summer months. Love it!

That is a Fiat 500. We have a cute story about one. Our family was on Harbour Island in the Bahamas. We were checking out a mint green one with wicker seats parked outside a cute boutique. As we were looking at it and taking pictures, all of a sudden a gorgeous tall leggy lady walked out and quickly jumped into the car. It was Elle McPherson! She is quite gorgeous in person!

Oh my gosh....cutest care ever! 30 mph is my preferred speed limit anyway. That color, the monograms! And, yes...it translates beautifully to bed linens!

Loved seeing you at Blogfest...can't wait to see you soon!

oh my goodness - that is TOO cute. there is an old couple where we have our beach house, who thinks they are the neighborhood watch, and travel around in the playschool-version of this thing. boy would they swoon to see a real beach cart! LOL

Barbara,
I want that car, low speed and all. How cute is that? I've always thought it would be fun to live where you could get around in a golf cart...not an old persons place but a charming island village. :-)

Oooh, that car is jetsetter! The monogram is a nice touch to those plain white seats. It's no wonder this car is a unique design inspiration. And I must say, you did a great job with the room.
