BLOG THERAPY

My apologies for the brevity of my post this morning, but I had to rush over to the D & D Building at the crack of dawn. Ok, it was 9:30, but I didn't want to be late for the Q and A with Marisa Marcantonio, editor of godesigngo.com and everyone's favorite Interior Design blog STYLEBEAT, along with accomplished Interior Designer and accidental blogger, Brad Ford of Design Therapy.  I've been an avid fan of both of their blogs for quite some time and have been looking forward to what I knew would be a exciting and memorable program.

Brad and Marisa were entertaining and enlightening during the Q and A, which was filled with an enthusiastic audience of designers, bloggers and soon to be bloggers.  A beautifully edited collection of photos from Ford's work and pages from his blog Design Therapy filled the screen, while the twosome discussed a wide range of topics that included:  finding a niche for your blog, building your brand and the importance of utilizing social media tools like Facebook and Twitter. The lively conversation was peppered with amusing anecdotes about their start in the blog business and later, we were all invited by Quest Magazine for continental breakfast at the gorgeous Holly Hunt showroom.

I loved meeting Marisa and Brad and want to congratulate them for a wildly successful morning--please let me know when you plan Part II!
