Located on a quiet corner on Manhattan's Upper East Side, HB Home is one of my favorite neighborhood destinations when I'm looking for serious design inspiration. Founders Patricia Healing and Daniel Barsanti own shops in several tony locations each stocked with gorgeous lamps, fresh prints of their own design and a great furniture line long on comfort and looks. On the hunt for a bookcase for a client's family room, HB's baby Babette nearly jumped at me through the window. The sunny yellow fretwork and classic shape of the bookcase was seemingly made for a multitude of uses. I can instantly see two flanking a sofa or one in that corner that you don't know what to do. Looking for something larger? The big Babette in cerused oak with white fretwork works well in both modern and transitional interiors. I'll take one of each please.
