Ralph Lauren's new home collection La Plage, is inspired by the casual, chic summer entertaining style found on France's seaside villages. As only Lauren can do, the collection artfully combines tranquil sea blues, preppy nautical stripes and French country floral prints with rustic rattan- styled just so, the combination is a fresh and welcome touch after a much too long winter. My favorite piece of the collection is the Breen Wine Caddy, a clever rattan and wire wine and glass holder that can also be used as a tray when the interior wine caddy is removed- the perfect piece for entertaining. After I lingering over the beautifully stylized vignettes, I ran a quick check on my frequent flyer points. Alas, I'm still a few points shy for that ticket on Air France. Quel dommage!

you are right, RL does it to perfection, but you are also correct, his inspiration could be the chic st.topez lunch spots near club 55, where the beach cafe's owners craft banquettes from weathered woods and cover them with old sail cloth or burlap.Give me the sun and the fish soup! Thanks!!

Love the rattan and the blue and white. Nobody does this look better than RL. Buried in snow here in DC-it is all so tempting.
Simple and lovely - what more could you ask? The wine tray and picnic tote win hands down - but that first photo as well. Oh my. Summer cannot come too fast! We were invited to spend a month in Marseille this summer - you certainly have upped the temptation!
