Caste iron retriever andirons from L.L. Bean
This slate fireplace reminds me of the one we built in our family room. Slabs of blue slate had been carefully layered like puzzle pieces creating a fireplace with strong, rustic lines. Unfortunately, the andirons I currently have don't really belong; they are delicate brass Rococo, a little like wearing diamond chandelier earrings with a lumberjack shirt! I would love to change them out and think a set of whimsical cast iron andirons would really compliment the massive blue stone. The retriever andirons from L.L.Bean strike the right note; they look warm and inviting, perfect companions for a cold winter night.
Tall and stately, this pair of iron dog fireplace andirons are from Mecox Gardens.

Very good ideas. I'd say my favorite is the last one... Those dogs look really nice but I don't need to ask for the price..... I know I won't be able to afford it! XDXD if69
