U.E.S. HALLOWEEN RECAP
I'm sure you are up to here with Halloween-I myself have sworn off Kit Kats forever (or at least until next Halloween) but I had to share with you the fantastic decorations we saw last night on East 78th Street. Its usually a rather staid block, lined with beautiful Brownstone and Limestone townhouses always meticulous and beautifully kept. But on Halloween, things get a little crazy--the entire block becomes an Upper East Side Halloween Fest-owners dress to the nines and their chic townhouses are transformed into nightmarish mansions. They close the street off (not easy to do in NYC) and everyone goes door to door-(sightings of Brooke Shields and John McEnroe last year). If you're lucky enough to know someone on the block, you're invited in for a quick cocktail and a nibble--so chic!

They really go all out! I didn't see it this year, but some friends went yesterday and they said there was quite a crowd as always. Happy Halloween!
wow, looks spooky!
Amazing! I love what they have done here, and it doesn't hurt that the homes are gorgeous!
Thank you for sharing, Barbara.
Have a great week.
