GLAMOR REIGNS IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM

Laundry and glamorous are two words that seem incongruous, at least in my house. But the Laundry Room created by Old Town Crossing for the Hampton Designer Showhouse took care of the "dirty business" with glamour to spare. The room isn't large, but it is well planned with two sets of Electrolux washer and dryers to get things done in a jiffy and an antique wooden shelf for storage.  And while you are waiting, there's time to admire the crystal chandelier (why not!) gorgeous Scalamandre wallpaper and lounge in the cosy armchair. It sure beats washing your whites in the basement!

Wow, who wouldn't love a laundry room as beautiful as this one? The wallpaper is great too.

What a chic laundry room! That would give new meaning to the "chore" of clothes washing......

This is so great! Love the wallpaper! My favorite part of our new addition is our laundry room! I even had it outfitted as a sort of butlers pantry and it works great for large parties! Maybe I should add a chandelier though! I do have really great art work in it that I love! It makes me happy to just to walk by it! Great post!

We love it! Excellent incorporation of design and function! Positive proof that laundry can be fun! Utilitarian does not have to be sub-efficient,lackluster and dowdy!

It certainly looks like a well-organised laundry room with a touch of chic on the walls!
