KNEE DEEP

While walking up Madison Avenue this afternoon, I was struck by a fashion predicament that seems to be plaguing many of cities well-heeled ladies. Sandals or boots?  It's true, we're at that in-between stage;  a veritable fashion "Wild West". The storefront windows are filled with suede but the weather is a balmy 75 degrees and we're still days before fall. It's a time when anything goes-sandals, boots, tights and yes, white pants. Thankfully, fall arrives this Wednesday-time to retire your summer shoes and boot up.  I've been pining for a pair of above the knee boots, so chic with leggings and jeans. Buttons, bikers or suede, I'm ready to put my best foot forward.

Cracking up at the polar opposite observation of flip flops and fully furnished feet! You are SO correct in that statement. I'm guilty of the flip flop syndrome right now...it's just really HOT still!

When it cools down, I'm wanting a pair of decked out, heeled clogs for some reason. I have yet to find an image of what exactly my brain has conjured up, but in fashion if you can dream it...it's out there!

Have a great night,

Kelly

Love those Chloe & Miu Miu Boots - we are heading into a very hot summer & I am sad to be packing the boots away - they always look so chic & hide all sorts of evils.... enjoy rugging up.

Finally...I have made it to your blog! I've heard of it many times before and I'm not sure why our paths haven't crossed.
Maybe it is the west coast influence, but I am always resistant to any closed toed shoes in the fall. I keep it open as long as possible!
I hope you'll have a chance to stop by Splendid Market. I'm having a great giveaway right now!
I loved your piece on fall flowers!

I am excusing myself from this fad as these sorts of boots are for people with long thin legs. I also wonder if they are the type you can look good in or sit down - I doubt I would be able to do either!

I'm definitely too short for them, though I love the look. But I am still resisting fall!

Gorgeous boots. I need to try some one to see if I'll be pulling off this season's trend.

Holy hot boots!! I don't think I could pull it off and considering the temperature won't really start to cool off here in Richmond for another month who knows when I will put my sandals away. Great finds though

It's still 90 degrees where I am, but I can't WAIT for October, when things will finally cool down enough for me to bust out my pretty boots! Love those gorgeous Diors.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comment! Yours is fab; I can't wait for more!

I haven't found a fall obsession yet since it's still so warm! But these boots have got me dreaming of cooler times...
