SIMPLE, STYLISH SUMMER TABLESCAPE

As the summer season begins to wind down, I find myself trying to squeeze in as many entertaining opportunities as possible.  Pool party lunches, BBQ dinners, even a morning coffee becomes a chance to enjoy the garden and gorgeous summer weather with friends.  I try to keep summer menus market fresh and as simple as possible, but like to be creative with my tablescape.  Classic and summer chic, you can't go wrong with a blue and white color scheme. Here's my "go-to" summer look-
My handpainted shell and seahorse dinner plates are a summer staple-I love the whimsical designs!
Kate Spade's Sandpiper dinner plates are a fun summer option
Ruby Lane's cobalt blue water goblets bring the color of the ocean to your table
I shop local farm stands for fresh flowers; sunflowers and hydrangea, which are in abundance now, make an effortless and very pretty summer bouquet

What's your favorite summer tablescape?

I love to mix it up...I have your same chargers. You have given me some inspiration for a dinner party we are having next weekend. I don't want summer to end.

Such a pretty end of summer table scape - like you I love blue and white for summer, and this time of year the sun flowers and hydrangeas are gorgeous. Dahlias, too. I'll be sad to see the late summer beauty fade! XO

love that soft china juxtaposed with the rattan.

hydrangea and fern fronds in a simple clear vase are on my table. also wrinkly vintage linen napkins and white china.

smiles to you, beautiful.

Barbara,
I normally mix it up but I've found myself setting the table with blue and white this summer...this setting you've created is especially pretty and summery. Love sunflowers and blue and white.
