STAR SPANGLED BANGLE

When Italian jeweler Duke Fulco di Verdura designed the Curb-Link bracelet for Greta Garbo in the late 1930's his intent was to create a "comfortable classic" that would be forever associated with him. The 18k yellow gold bracelet is the quintessential statement piece-an artful work of understated elegance and luxury and an all-time favorite of mine. Vedura's simple yet spectacular interlocking link pattern is timeless-I guess thats why I'm so smitten with the recent crop of link bracelet inspired accessories and furniture pieces. Bold yet delicate, these pieces bring whimsy and a touch of glamour into your home. Couldn't we all use a little bling in our lives?

UNDER MY UMBRELLA

A chic umbrella stand can enhance the design of your foyer and take care of those drippy umbrellas in style. I keep a white ceramic cane stand in our apartment foyer; its clean lines complement the modern space and when the rain starts falling, I always know where to find my umbrella.
