SPRING POP FROM EDDIE ROSS

We all know that Eddie Ross, style maker and newly minted East Coast producer of Better Homes and Gardens can set a mighty fine table, so I wasn't surprised when gorgeous shots of his Easter table hit Instagram this weekend.  Eddie's attention to detail is renowned, and his charming Easter tableau did not disappoint. Beautiful vintage dinnerware and antique serving pieces were layered upon a dynamite tablecloth by LuLu DK in a sunny mosaic pattern. The bright greens, blues and pinks of the tablecloth were echoed in a footed bowl filled with colored Easter eggs.  The result-a Holiday worthy table full of Southern charm and personality, bravo Eddie!

IN THE BAG-RALPH LAUREN SPRING TOTE

I can't imagine getting around town without one of my trusted tote bags. I have a fleet of them--a mix of leather and canvas, all of them sturdy and large enough to shuttle everything I need for the day: gym sneakers, tape measure, notebook, its a virtual portable office and then some! You won't see me carrying a dainty shoulder bag (unless its a fancy lunch!) so I rotate a stylish group of totes that keep all those essentials hidden away. Always on the lookout for something new, I'm smitten with Ralph Lauren's spring line of smart leather and canvas totes. Stylish and sleek as RL does best, they come in a rainbow of juicy colors, fresh and ready for spring.

STATEMENT NECKLACE

I've long admired a friends necklace--three weighty gold satin disks, unblemished except for a single diamond initial on each; one for each of her children. They softly jingle and slide across their slim gold chain when she talks. I love the simplicity and sentiment of the necklace, a true statement piece. Which made me think--what would my statement necklace say?
Some days I could use a little more of this...
Feel my inner diva!
 the perfect Valentine sentiment
Shout out my name in a curvy monogram
 Softly dazzle in love
Channel Carrie Bradshaw
or just take a moment to breathe!

What would your statement be?

BEHIND THE PRIVET-ROSE HILL POINT

I wanted to share this traditional gambrel style home with you because of its spectacular location- perched on one of my favorite hampton locals, the pretty, secluded Rose Hill Road in Watermill. The quaint hampton lane faces beautiful Mecox Bay providing spectacular water views for the lucky homes that dot the lane. This hampton classic was custom designed by architect Val Florio and features a plethora of amazing custom woodwork; elaborate coiffured ceilings, paneled walls and imported wood floors which imbue the home with classic hamptons style. But its the expansive views of the bay that has me pining for a breezy August day!
Gracious outside entertaining space--soft teak and deep sofas for lounging
The classic double-height foyer and sweeping staircase gives way to a bold, modern light fixture and contemporary art installation.
A soft and serene color palette is carried throughout the house echoing the beautiful bay outside

Classic transom windows and traditional furniture are lightened with a pair of Murano glass flower pendants in the dining room.
A silvery reclaimed wood ceiling provide beautiful focal interest in a luxuriously appointed kitchen
The inspired duplex master wing has its own living room with fireplace, separate his and hers walk-in closets, his and her bath suites and a temperature controlled fur vault!
I don't think I would ever leave the master bath--decadent soaking tub, fireplace, cosy chaise and tv!  The mirror paneled wall adds additional sparkle and shine and reflects the gorgeous bay views.
The dark wood floors compliment the striking onyx shower and console sink
The modern infinity pool makes me long for summer!

LOUBOUTIN'S CHRISTMAS TREE

Oh Christmas Tree!

The Louboutin Holiday windows
are bright and shiny and oh so fabulous this year

London design firm Studio XAG was inspired by Louboutin's iconic 'Pigalle' shoe-a Christmas tree was designed from rows of rotating tree branches formed from the gorgeous red heeled beauties-sigh!
The tree topper-one perfect, party worthy rhinestone encrusted heel
Now that's holiday glamour!

FRIDAY FINDS-HOT PLATES!

I'm smitten with the new line of John Derian International hotel plates. The decopage trays are so fun and stylish--the perfect gift for a cosmopolitan friend or just someone who appreciates a little vintage European charm. Used as a catch-all in the foyer or to hold jewelry, the chic little trays are a modern twist on classic European designs- c'est bon!

My latest article for Hamptons Magazine is out!  I'm highlighting one of my favorite Hampton summer events, the Decorators-Designers-Dealers (DDD) Auction, Sale, and Cocktail Party Gala which benefits a charity very close to my heart, The Southampton Fresh Air Home, a residential summer camp for children with physical disabilities. Read about this stylish Hampton's interior design event here.
Happy Weekend!

HAVE A SEAT

I've always liked ceramic garden stools, both for their flexibility of use and their great look. Perfect as a side table or used as extra seating, they can bring a pop of color to a room and provide a instant drama.  I've used them as side tables in my living room and am on the lookout for a few to add some glamour to my summer porch. With a huge array of styles and colors available, there's sure to be a chic little seat out there to suit your style!

My favorite new crop of garden stools from Mecox Gardens--love the original shapes and colors!

GO BOLD

Dessin Fournir Showroom
I made a trip to one of my favorite shops yesterday, the Dessin Fournir shop in the Arts Building.  Their beautiful furniture line is inspired by classical European design but interpreted with sleek, transitional forms.  Everything is bench made and artisan crafted;  everything is simply gorgeous. I usually can't take my eyes off their stunning, almost sculptural dining room tables but their new spring installation had all my attention. Soft white and cream upholstered pieces juxtaposed a bold, Matisse inspired wall of blue and white.  The effect was dazzling. As much as I loved the vignette, I knew that if I tried to replicate the wall at home it would look like a bad school project. Too bad--"I'm ready for a dose of bold", I mused. Two stops later Clarence House came to my rescue when I spied a David Hicks pattern called The Vase. Of course, I was drawn to the larger than life navy and white pattern- it's a bold and chic choice, that felt just right to me.
Are you feeling bold in any of your rooms?
