NAUTICAL CHIC-SUMMER STRIPES FROM ST. JAMES AND COACH
You can't get more classic than a touch of nautical stripe in your summer wardrobe. The French, of course, knew this ages ago! St. James, makers of the classic French seaside t-shirts known as the Breton Stripe, have collaborated with American classic Coach on a stylish transcontinental summer line. The iconic nautical blue and white t-shirt has been a popular celebrity summer staple (think Audrey Hepburn, Gweneth Paltrow) because it's the perfect companion to a pair of white jeans and summer sandals. The new line updates the French Naval stripe shirt with a collection of stylish totes, clutches and pretty summer frocks perfect for a day of sunning in St. Tropez or a walk on a Hamptons beach!

IN THE BAG-RALPH LAUREN SPRING TOTE
I can't imagine getting around town without one of my trusted tote bags. I have a fleet of them--a mix of leather and canvas, all of them sturdy and large enough to shuttle everything I need for the day: gym sneakers, tape measure, notebook, its a virtual portable office and then some! You won't see me carrying a dainty shoulder bag (unless its a fancy lunch!) so I rotate a stylish group of totes that keep all those essentials hidden away. Always on the lookout for something new, I'm smitten with Ralph Lauren's spring line of smart leather and canvas totes. Stylish and sleek as RL does best, they come in a rainbow of juicy colors, fresh and ready for spring.

OSCAR DE LA RENTA-SPRING FRESH
Springs color of the moment? It must be evergreen, the deeply saturated, perfect for spring hue that Oscar de la Renta has masterfully interpreted in his stunning 2013 Resort Wear Collection. The timeless silhouettes are bursting with delicate blooms-I love the sophisticated, garden fresh glamour!

PERFECTLY CAPABLE
From the runway of Chanel to morning drop off at school, it's clear that the cape is making a big comeback this fall. I love the chic, versatile topper because it looks smart and polished, especially as a casual look with dark leggings and ballet flats. It really is the perfect transitional piece! I have my eye on the Sophie plaid cape by Kate Spade and Rachel Zoe's military inspired camel knit cape. Will you be wearing a cape this fall?

FALL TREND-SUEDE SANDALS
Alexa Chung in Prada Suede Sandals
I know it's fall but I just can't bear to put away my sandals, and luckily, with a gorgeous new crop in fall's jewel tones I won't have to until I'm knee deep in snow.

PRETTY AS A PEACOCK
On a recent visit to the Bronx Zoo, I became mesmerized by a flock of peacocks strutting in a nearby field. Fanning their gorgeous plumes for visitors, the peacocks were a sea of deep blues and greens; delicate eye candy. This fall the peacock's jeweled blues and greens are inspiration for a host of vibrant fashion and home accessories, fabrics and paints-pick up something peacock and strut your stuff!
