SETTING THE TABLE FOR THANKSGIVING

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just a week away! One of my favorite holidays, I like to set a table that plays off an autumnal motif with a mix of traditional pieces and more casual design elements for a fresh, modern table. This year I'm keeping my table soft and sophisticated with a warm neutral palette and touches of shiny silver.

The faux bone rimmed plates from Ralph Lauren are my favorite fall tabletop accessory; a sophisticated addition to your holiday table.

Add a note of whimsy to your table with a pair of pewter pheasants from The Enchanted Home.

You can't go wrong with luxurious linen napkins and placemats in warm neutrals.

Even if you haven't inherited the family silver, Anthropologie's rediscovered flatware gives you that traditional look.

A trio of horn candlestick holders are warm and inviting.

What could be more autumnal than twig and leaf serving pieces?

How do you like to entertain at Thanksgiving?

OH YES, YOU CANNE!

\

I was inspired by all the recent coverage of the Canne's Film Festival to create my own little French Riveria tablescape. I love the dashing French plate and chic crystal covered rope napkin ring paired with the bold awning stripe table cloth. Beau dîner!

COLOR POP-CORAL

Corals, pinks and neutrals blend beautifully in this elegant living room by Amanda Nisbet.

A bit of spring time sprucing-up for me always includes an accessory buying spree.  I'm looking for brilliant color, and coral seems to hit the right note these days.  From pinky orange to juicy red, the color coral creates warmth and brings vibrancy to a room. Choose a pillow, lamp or throw in coral and brighten your room and your mood!

Teal, a complimentary color to coral, pairs beautifully in this chic living room by Celery Kemble.

Clean lines with a burst of coral color, the Pagoda lamp from Crate and Barrel.

Texture, color and a cheeky spirit in a guest bath.
Astrid chair in Naive tropical packs a pretty punch-from Anthropologie.

The soothing blue and white on the painted cabinet pops against the deep coral walls.

Not your grandmother's lipstick-Chanel in juicy coral

Ankasa coral embroidered pillows with hanging shells brings the beach experience indoors.
